Technology which is usually used for application development are HTML, XML, JavaScript, and multimedia. In addition, developers usually are writers, artists, and organizations that want to display information on the Web and/or CD-ROM without requiring knowledge of languages such as Java. This application has the potential not only within a limited area, such as software engineering, but also to literature, education, and training.
Web Application software is a software application that relies on the conventional web, or using the web infrastructure for its implementation. Typically, these applications include legacy information systems, such as databases, reservation systems, knowledge bases, and others. Most e-commerce applications fit into this category. Usually they employ technology development (such as, DCOM, ActiveX, etc.), database systems, and solutions development (such as J2EE). Developers in this category are generally young programmers from graduate computer science or software engineering and managed with little or lots of staff.
