ZoomPlus Technology in Canon PowerShot SX400 IS

Canon introduced the PowerShot SX400 IS pocket camera that favor ZoomPlus technology. This technology is claimed to allow users to shoot objects from a distance.


It will produce images that are as targeted from a very close distance. PowerShot SX 400 IS 16 megapixel resolution of the lens is equipped with a wide angle and super telephoto 24-720 millimeters. Optical zoom is claimed produce images 30 times sharper, which can be increased to 60 times sharper through ZoomPlus.

The camera is supported Image Stabilizer technology to detect shocks in order to continue to produce good images. This technology can be used when users shoot objects without the aid of a tripod. Image processor using the DIGIC 4 + with sensor 1/2.3.

As if this camera is used for video recording, the resulting image is a high-definition (HD) with a frame rate of 25p. One unit PoweShot SX400 priced at € 199.

Previously, the company has introduced a premium compact camera category, namely G1 XMark II. has a resolution of 12.8 megapixel CMOS sensor of 1.5 inches. The sensor is closer to the size of the APS-C sensor which is usually found in DSLR cameras.
